Weigh in success!

Hi all — Just a quick update… I had a weigh in this morning and I came in at 223.6 which is a 1.4 lb loss from last week. That brings me up to a total loss so far of 6.4 lbs. 🙂 W00t!

Today I went out for a run. We planned on 3 miles and we finished those 3 but I had to take quite a few walking breaks and I was having a hard time keeping my heart rate down. I was running with the father-in-law though, he always naturally causes me to run faster. I have a few runs this coming week and I am going to plan on doing some of those alone so I can run at my own pace and try to get my heart and lungs back in shape! 🙂 Again, my legs felt good though and the Nike frees were great!

I did update my running stats page with content today. You can see my best running PRs on that page. — In case anyone is interested!

I know many of you readers are doing the same kind of things I am.. Leading into Monday, here is some inspiration to get us going and help to keep us strong!!

  1. One of my friends posted those first two motivational sayings on her facebook wall over the weekend! Love them both! Grats on the weigh in! Keep up the awesome work. I’m almost back to pre-holiday weight myself!

I love the pictures you shared! Especially the one about feeling more capable by running. That is definitely true. Running has helped my body, but I swear I’m amazed by how much it has helped how I feel about myself.

Running is truly amazing for self-esteem, that is for SURE!! Also — It is full of little victories and you get super excited by passing previous records. YAY to mini celebrations all the time!
